  • Itinerary

    • Day 1: Visit Cusco


    Your visit begins with a transfer from the airport to drop off your luggage at your hotel (Check-in 2:00 PM). At 1:00 PM, your city tour of Cusco, also known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, will begin.
    You will visit the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship for the Sun God, on top of which the Dominican Order built a church that still stands today.
    o You will continue to the Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important Catholic temple in the city.
    The tour ends with a van ride up to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture, and you will visit other important sites within Inca culture, such as the archaeological site of Qenko.
    Finally, the day ends at your hotel for an unforgettable luxury stay.

    • Day 2: Sacred Valley

    The adventure will begin at 8:00 a.m. We will pick you up at your hotel and begin the journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas while you enjoy the wonderful view. You'll then visit a small, picturesque Andean village.
    We'll continue our tour to Ollantaytambo, where we'll stop at a viewpoint for one of the best views of the Sacred Valley. Get your camera ready!
    o At midday, we'll stop at a local restaurant where you can have lunch and enjoy Peruvian cuisine (included).
    Finally, we'll arrive at Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire and one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost an important battle. Well known for its terraces, Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress that also served as a temple.
    Approximately 8 hours later, we will drop you off at your hotel so you can rest and recharge for your Machu Picchu adventure.

    • Day 3: Machu Picchu

    This tour begins early in the morning, at approximately 4:30 a.m. We will take you from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco to our office on Av. El Sol so you can board the bus that will take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo (the first part of our bimodal service, which consists of bus transportation and then train).
    HOME train journey: We depart from the Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) around 7:20 hrs on the panoramic train The 360° on Inca Rail frequency 61. Enjoy for an hour and a half the impressive natural views that are the best HOME of the tour!
    o Arrival at Machu Picchu Town: Once you arrive, our staff will be waiting for you at the Machu Picchu Station. Remember that you will have some time to organize only the most important things for your visit to Machu Picchu.
    Transfer to the bus station: Approximately 30-40 minutes later, you will walk to the bus station accompanied by your guide, who will point out recommended restaurants for lunch. You will arrive at the bus station in less than 5 minutes.
    Transfer by Consettur bus: Consettur buses depart regularly; the typical wait time is between 35 and 45 minutes. Afterwards, the bus ride lasts 30 to 40 minutes. Remember that upon arrival at Machu Picchu, your guide will organize your group and provide recommendations to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.
    Sightseeing: We'll start the tour around 10:40 a.m. and will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Enjoy the best part of the tour and discover the secret legends our guide will reveal along the way, exploring the enigmatic buildings of the Inca culture!
    o Return by Consettur bus: After completing your exploration of Machu Picchu, our staff will guide you to the bus stop around 1:10 PM. Depending on the number of people, there may be a wait time (30-40 minutes). Once you are seated on the bus, the trip to Machu Picchu Town will take 30 minutes, arriving at approximately 2:00 PM.
    Free time: You will have approximately an hour and a half to eat or stroll through Machu Picchu Town. We recommend that you begin your transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station at 3:45 PM.
    Return by train: At 4:10 PM, you will board The 360° Machu Picchu Train, frequency 64, to Ollantaytambo. You will be back in Ollantaytambo around 5:50 PM to board the bus to Cusco and finally return to your hotel.

     Physical difficulty level: 2 out of 5.

    • Day 4: Rainbow Mountain

    o This incredible adventure begins very early in the morning. We will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey towards the South Valley. It will be a 2-hour drive to reach Cusipata, and from there we will continue the journey along a dirt road to the town of Phulawasipata for another 1 hour.
    o From Phulawasipata (4,626 masl / 15,177.17 ft), you will begin the hike, which will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, along a beautiful stream.
    o After the hike, you will be amazed by the wonderful view of Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain (5,020 masl / 16,466 ft).
    o When it is time to begin the descent along the same route, the return hike will take approximately 1 hour, until you reach the place where your return transportation will be waiting for you.
    o After a 1-hour drive, we will arrive in Cusipata for lunch. Afterwards, we will continue the return trip to Cusco, arriving after approximately 2 hours. You will be back in Cusco in the late afternoon.

    • Day 5: Return
