    ATV Tours in Huaypo and Piuray Lagoons



    Itinerary
    We'll begin the adventure with hotel pickup in Cusco, then embark on our 45-minute tour by shuttle to Cruz Pata Village. Here, we'll have the opportunity to practice riding ATVs for 15 to 20 minutes. Once everyone is ready for the journey, we'll begin the ATV ride toward Huaypo Lagoon. Once we arrive, we'll have 20 minutes to explore the area on our own. Continuing the tour, we'll head to Piuray Lagoon. The ride is 50 minutes long. We'll spend 10 minutes exploring the area, then return to the base. After the tour, we'll return to Cusco.

    Huaypo Lagoon
    It's home to a wide variety of fish and birds. It's approximately 1.5 km long by 800 m wide. It's ideal for water sports. According to one local legend, the sun god asked Manco Capac to send his twin sons to accompany him in his twilight. When they went to find them, they discovered that the son who walked the farthest had become Laguna Huaypo, and the daughter, Laguna Piuray. Laguna Huaypo is located at 3,345 m above sea level.

    Laguna Piuray
    It has a perimeter of 8,750 m, a width of 465 m, and a length of 3,000 m, with a depth of between 20 and 50 m. In the surrounding area, you can see a variety of crops such as barley, wheat, potatoes, and tarwi, as well as eucalyptus trees, trout, and wild ducks. Cattle and sheep are raised on the surrounding land. Slow-water sports are also available.
