    Description
    Embark on a full-day tour to Pallay Punchu Mountain from Cusco. Take a challenging hike to the top of Pallay Punchu Rainbow Mountain.
    Admire the deep blue waters of Laguna de Layo from the top of the mountain.
    Stop for lunch in Sicuani and enjoy a local meal before returning to Cusco.

    TRAVEL PLAN


    Tour Start Approx. 4:30 AM

    Embark on a full-day adventure to Pallay Punchu Mountain, also known as the new Rainbow Mountain. Enjoy a challenging hike to the summit, where you can take in stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the deep blue waters of Layo Lagoon.

    Start your day with an early pickup from your hotel in Cusco. From there, embark on a journey to the majestic Pallay Punchu Mountain, taking the highway to Puno. After approximately 2.5 hours, you will arrive at the village of Sicuani, where you will enjoy a hearty breakfast to fuel your hike.

    Continue your journey to the village of Layo, located next to the beautiful Layo Lagoon. Upon reaching the trailhead near Layo, begin your hike. The hike will take between 1.5 and 2 hours, climbing a steep path surrounded by magnificent mountains such as Apu Taqllo and Pallay Poncho.

    As you ascend, leave Laguna de Layo behind and be amazed by increasingly spectacular views. Once at the top of the sharp, pointed ridges of Pallay Punchu, experience the breathtaking contrast of the mountain's vibrant colors with the deep blue of Laguna de Layo far below.

    You'll have plenty of time to relax, take stunning photos, and soak up the beauty of this incredible landscape. After spending some time at the summit, descend back to your vehicle. On the way back, stop to take more photos of Laguna del Layo.

    Make a well-deserved lunch stop in Sicuani, where you can enjoy a local meal before continuing the return trip to Cusco. Arrive back in Cusco at approximately 7:30 PM, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel. End of our services: approximately 7:30 PM
